"Designing 10 hudson yards & the new heart of New york city"

A Michigan alumnus, Mr. Mosellie’s architectural experience has always tended towards the seriously large scale. Since joining Kohn Pedersen Fox in 1988, the Principal and 30-year veteran of the industry has led some of the group's largest and most complex designs, including city-block-sized campus buildings and international airport developments in North America, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

In New York City, Mr. Mosellie is Managing Principal for Hudson Yards, which is centerpiece of the City’s redevelopment of the far west side of Manhattan. Stretching between 30th and 33rd Streets, the first phase will be constructed over the 13-acre active rail yard for the Long Island Railroad—one of the busiest commuter rail lines in the world. The initial 6 million square feet of construction will include 4 million square feet of corporate headquarters for global companies, 1 million square feet of luxury retail and dining and 1 million square feet of hotel and residential program. Mr. Mosellie’s responsibilities include the over-build of the rail yard, which includes a 6-acre park.

Mr. Mosellie also managed the Newman Vertical Campus at Baruch College, which in 2003 was recognized with a National Honor Award by the American Institute of Architects. In addition, as KPF's Principal-in-Charge of Transportation Projects, Mr. Mosellie is directing the new Abu Dhabi International Airport Midfield Terminal Complex’s 7 million-square-foot terminal, as well as the 1.4 million-square-foot Nanning Airport in China.
